Benefits of Hydraulic versus traction lifts

Hydraulic technology is the most robust technology which does not use inverters and once the hydraulic lift is installed, it will operate for the life of the building without requiring expensive replacements.
Traction lifts use inverters which have a limited life span. After 8 to 10 years when a drive fails, traction lift companies will force you to upgrade to new drives and controllers. This adds to your expenditure but adds to their revenues and profits.
Even a child can safely lower the lift in controlled speed in an emergency. However, a traction lift requires skilled and trained manpower. Because an empty or a fully loaded traction lift can crash into the ceiling or the pit at uncontrolled speeds, if the brake mechanism is not released in time, there is a high possibility of accidents resulting in damage and injuries.

For example guide rails are manufactured by Savera, doors are manufactured by Fermator or Wittur, ropes are manufactured by Brugg or Usha Martin. Same is the case for all the other components.

So the fact of the matter is that you as a buyer are paying the extra price to support the lavish lifestlyes of the managers in these multinational companies. At the end of the day the blue collared technician in these multinational companies are paid very low wages in comparison.
